Rejuvenating Our Spiritual Energy

I enjoyed a wonderful sermon at church today and wanted to share some of my thoughts about it. The message was entitled “Renewable Energy” and highlighted measures for us all to rejuvenate our spiritual liveliness. Some of the ways in which we can renew our energy include:

• Participating in Worship
• Attending to the needs of others
• Observing the Sabbath
• Embracing our Calling
• Servant Leadership
• Prayer

There are two important concepts to consider regarding renewable energy. The first is always having compassion for others… healing the hurts. Sometimes this can be as simply as listening to someone’s problem. The second notion involves the importance of a constant renewal process. Just like an effective team must practice to maintain proficiency, we too must constantly strive to renew our spiritual energy in many different ways.

Attending church every week does not guarantee a process of rejuvenation. Participation is the key to renewal. Being actively involved in some aspect not only helps you renew your spiritual energy, it also helps to invigorate the team (congregation). Remember, we’re all in this together. Please take a moment to consider ways in which you can revitalize your spiritual energy. I welcome your comments and suggestions!
